2018 Show

Welcome to the 2018 Sleaford Classic Car and Motorcycle Show.

Following a hugely successful 25th anniversary show in 2017 we are now looking forward to 2018 and the 26th Classic Car and Motorcycle Show, held in the historic Lincolnshire Market Town of Sleaford. (to see how our show has evolved click here) The show venue on Lafford Terrace, Eastgate is within an easy five minutes’ walk of the town centre and the site is accessible to all. Ample car parking can be found close by (see map) on Boston Road, Kesteven Street and Moneys Yard (2-3 minutes’ walk). Visitor entry to the show is free of charge and you can look forward to seeing a wide range of historic and classic cars, motorcycles, scooters, commercial and military vehicles and trade stands. (for trade stand application form click here)

Our 25th anniversary show attracted car entries originating from as far afield as America and South Africa. With a wide variety of lovingly maintained classics covering 9 decades of motoring history. (for vehicle entry application form click here) With evocative marques on show including Lea Francis, Daimler, Rolls Royce, MG, Alfa Romeo. A very rare 1912 Bradbury motorcycle, as well as Ducati, Triumph, BSA, Velocette and Norton. To the more workaday Ford’s Austin, VW, Honda and Yamaha. We also had a fine contingent of Americana on parade. our international motoring heritage is on display for all to see. (To view list of 2017 class winners click here)

The show cars and motorcycles will awaken memories of those sunny Sunday drives to “Skeggy” in grandad’s Morris Minor Traveller or perhaps the school run in mum’s Ford Escort. Maybe it was the car you always promised yourself but for a myriad of domestic reasons it was made of unobtanium. Or the bike your mates had but your parents/other half put their foot down. You may have owned one of these makes in the past, well maybe not a Commer Karrier Fire Tender, but those lazy, hazy, rose tinted days gone by, be they of drain-pipes and crepes, flares and a dodgy perms or shell suits and trainers, will come flooding back, even if for just a few minutes. The 2018 Sleaford Classic Car and Motorcycle Show has much to offer to visitors of all ages and is a great free show for all the family.

Thanks to the shows many sponsors, trophies for the various classes of vehicle entries are awarded at the end of the show as judged by the visitors to the show using voting slips provided in the show programme. So, come along and vote for your favourites on the day. (for details of judging classes and trophies click here)

This year we are again very hopeful that there will be a fly past by one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft, (weather permitting). With most of the flight’s aircraft grounded due to issues with the iconic Merlin engines, we were indeed fortunate to have the griffon powered mk. XIX Spitfire join us for the show.

Keep an eye on our Latest News page for more information on this years event.

Sleaford is a small friendly rural market town located 20 miles south of Lincoln and the annual show attracts many exhibitors from across the county and beyond, bringing all manner of classic vehicles from the pristine to the everyday.
